Short biographical note:
Janusz Rieger (1934) - professor of humanities, linguist and Slavist, researcher at the Institute of Slavistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1960-1997) and the Institute of Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1997-2004), lecturer at Warsaw University, member of the Warsaw Scientific Society.
Served as an altar boy in St. Florian's Church in Cracow at the time when Karol Wojtyla was a vicar there. He participated in the conversion seminars organized by Fr. Wojtyla. He belonged to the so-called milieu - a group of students connected with Fr Karol Wojtyła who went with him to the mountains and kayaking.
