Short biographical note:
Bishop Tadeusz Pieronek (1934-2018) - professor of legal sciences, an outstanding expert in canon law; after his studies at the Seminary in Cracow, he continued his studies at the Catholic University of Lublin and the Lateran University; he also completed the Study of Roman Rota.
Among others, he held the posts of: Secretary General of the Polish Bishops' Conference (1993-1998); Rector of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow (1998-2004), Chairman of the Church's Concordat Commission (1998-2010). He took part in the John Paul II beatification process, presiding over the horn tribunal in Cracow in 2005-2006.
