Short biographical note:
Anna Walentynowicz (1929-2010) is a legendary activist of the democratic opposition in Poland, a participant of December 70 and August 80 (dismissed from work in the Gdańsk Shipyard on August 7, 1980, the demand for her reinstatement became the first postulate of the strike in the Shipyard, which broke out on August 14, 1980). She was awarded the Freedom Medal and the Order of the White Eagle. She died on April 10, 2010 in the Smolensk plane crash of an official Polish delegation going to celebrate the anniversary of the crime in Katyn.
