Summary:
Links between the Second Vatican Council and the Millennium of the Baptism of Poland. It is wrong for some Catholic intellectuals to contrast the Council and the Millennium because there are many fundamental similarities. Through the providential coincidence of dates, the Millennium introduces and realises the renewal of the ecclesiological council. The Council, like the Millennium, is a renewal and not a rupture in the life of the Church.
