Cardinal Marian Jaworski (1926-2020) - professor of philosophy, rector of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in 1982-1988, apostolic administrator in Lubaczow in 1984-1991, archbishop metropolitan of Lviv in 1991-2008, apostolic administrator of Lutsk diocese in 1996-1998, Rector of the Higher Seminary of the Archdiocese of Lviv in 1997-2008, President of the Bishops' Conference of Ukraine in 1992-2008, Cardinal Presbyter since 2001 (in pectore since 1998), since 2008 Senior Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lviv.
