The collection of the Archiwum Akt Nowych in Warsaw on JP2online includes:
a)    confidential correspondence of the representatives of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party (KC PZPR) from the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, e.g. the Cipher of 10.05.1978 informing about the negotiations with Agostino Casaroli on Edward Gierek's visit to the Vatican or the Opinion of Andrei Gromyka, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, on John Paul II with his comment on the pilgrimage to Poland of 14.03.1978;
b)    petitions submitted by the Polish Bishops on the violation of civil rights and freedoms in the Polish People's Republic;
c)    analyses and operational plans of anti-church and anti-civilian actions carried out by the state authorities, e.g. attempts to set Cardinals Wyszyński and Wojtyła by the ears or provocative blocking of the building permits for churches in Nowa Huta, Ciśc, and Szklary.
By virtue of an agreement with the General Directorate of State Archives, a general search was carried out in all 32 state archives which are under its authority, in order to seek out archives concerning Karol Wojtyła / John Paul II. In the Archive of New Files in Warsaw 541 documents were selected and made available on Jp2online. The cooperation continues - at the beginning of 2021 the pool of presented documents will increase.
