Primate Stefan Wyszyński and Archbishop Karol Wojtyła participating in the processions on the occasion of the Millennium Baptism of Poland in 1966, countless crowds of believers on Jasna Góra - such films can be viewed on the portal.
The Film Chronicle of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of the Jesus functioned in the years 1960-78. Recordings were made with the then modern technique - on 16 mm film. The silent films made by Father Adam Włoch SCJ show breakthroughs in recent history, such as the celebration of the Millennium of Baptism of Poland on Jasna Góra sanctuary or in Gniezno. Until the millennium of Christianity, Poles prepared themselves for a 9-year pastoral programme. The films show, among others, Primate Stefan Wyszyński, Archbishop Wojtyła and the numerous gathered believers participating in the celebrations, despite - as we know - the difficulties of the then state authorities.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Congregation of the Fathers of the Heart with the John Paul II Thought Centre and the John Paul II Institute of Intercultural Dialogue in Krakow, the recordings have been digitised and developed. Thanks to this, you can get acquainted with the films from over 50 years ago.

The recordings are available in the collection of Sercańska Kronika Filmowa.
