Short biographical note:
Stanisław Grygiel (born in 1934) - philosopher, philologist and lecturer, long-term associate of the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for the Study of Marriage and Family. Karol Wojtyła's friend.
He met Bishop Wojtyla in Cracow. As Father Wojtyla's doctoral student, he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Lublin. A long-time editor of the monthly "Znak" (1963-1980) and lecturer of philosophy at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow (1970-1980).
After the election of John Paul II at the invitation of the Holy See, Mr and Mrs Grygiel moved to Rome, where they still live today.
He co-founded the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for Marriage and Family Studies at the Lateran University. Director of the Polish Institute of Christian Culture from 1980 to 1983.
He was a consulter of the Pontifical Council for the Family. He publishes in Polish and Italian magazines.
Author of the book: "On the paths of truth. Talking to John Paul II".
